SSI Instructor Crossover
If you are already a certified professional from PADI, SDI, NAUI, CMAS or other recognised diving agencies, and looking to continue your career with SSI, completing an SSI crossover is the perfect next step. At Gili Divers, we offer a professional-level SSI crossover programme designed to help Instructors transition smoothly into the SSI system while continuing to build an international diving career. Our SSI crossover training is designed for dive professionals who want to expand their opportunities, learn the SSI teaching philosophy, and work internationally as SSI Instructors. Whether you are currently teaching with PADI or another recognised agency, an SSI crossover allows you to join one of the fastest-growing scuba training organisations in the world without repeating your entire professional training. Located in the Gili Islands, Indonesia, Gili Divers provides ideal conditions to complete your SSI crossover while gaining experience in a busy tropical dive destination surrounded by coral reefs, turtles, and year-round warm water diving.
An SSI crossover allows you to move from training systems such as PADI, SDI, NAUI, CMAS or other recognised diving agencies to SSI in just two weeks, without repeating your entire professional training. Instead, the programme focuses on helping you understand SSI teaching standards, digital learning systems, and educational philosophy so you can confidently work as an SSI professional anywhere in the world.
Located in the beautiful Gili Islands of Indonesia, our two dive centres provide ideal conditions to complete your PADI to SSI crossover while enjoying warm water, vibrant coral reefs, and world-class diving.
What is a SSI crossover?
A SSI crossover is a professional transition programme designed for dive professionals already certified with PADI, SDI, NAUI, CMAS or other recognised diving agencies who want to teach or work under SSI.
The crossover programme introduces candidates to:
- SSI standards and procedures
- The SSI digital learning ecosystem
- Diver Diamond teaching philosophy
- SSI course structures
- Student-focused teaching methods
Rather than starting your professional training from the beginning, a PADI to SSI crossover recognises your existing experience and helps you adapt it to the SSI system in two weeks only. This makes the process faster, more efficient, and highly valuable for dive professionals looking to expand their career opportunities.

Over the years, she has gained invaluable experience teaching and diving in a wide variety of environments; from the cold, murky waters of the English Channel to the deep wrecks of the Maltese islands, and the vibrant marine life of Oman.
She joined Gili Divers in 2021 where she has taken on the task of growing a dedicated technical diving department. With a focus on personalised training, her main drive is always to create a safe and supportive teaching environment to encourage all divers to progress toward pushing their limits.
With a strong passion for deep diving and mentoring, she aims to empower students by giving them the confidence to achieve their diving goals. As a JJ-CCR Mod2 Mixed Gas diver, she enjoys exploring deep reefs and has a special love for historical wrecks.
